Thanksgiving 2015, Part 2

On Friday, we arrived at Mimi and Pop's house to celebrate Thanksgiving too (or two)! Brent usually only eats turkey once or twice a year (yes, mostly right around Thanksgiving Day) so Mimi cooked us her famous chicken tetrazini for our Thanksgiving lunch.

Rachel is great at helping slice bananas with a butter knife so she helped get the bananas ready for the fruit salad. It is an established fact in our family that Mimi's tetrazini must be accompanied by her fruit salad.

We had a fun afternoon at Mimi and Pop all visiting together.
The girls had fun playing blocks and Bethany showed off her new walking skills for Mimi and Pop too.
We have a tradition with my family to go to downtown Fayetteville on the Friday afternoon after Thanksgiving for The Dickens Festival. It is a fun festival based on the Victoria era around the time of Charles Dickens that celebrates the beginning of the Christmas season with crafts, activities, a tree lighting, and fireworks.
Before we headed downtown, we snapped a few new family pictures.
Here are Mimi and Pop with all of us and just with our girls too.
We got a picture of all the girls with Mimi and with Aunt Ashelyn too.

Our first stop at the Dickens Festival was the Victorian ornament making. The children's museum in Fayetteville is just steps from the Market House and they always have ornament making set up for all the kids. Mimi made an ornament for Bethany since she was too little to make her own this year and she helped Bekah make hers too.
Aunt Ashelyn and Rachel worked together to make Rachel's ornaments too.
Mimi and Pop headed back to their house after the ornament making and the rest of us stayed for the tree lighting and fireworks.
It was a fun family Friday celebrating Thanksgiving with Mimi and Pop! We love you. See you soon for Christmas!
