Gideon Banquet 2015

Tonight, we attended the annual Pastor's Banquet held by the Gideons' in our area. This was our 4th year attending the banquet and it was a good evening. As always, they had a delicious meal for us. We got to visit with other local pastors and meet some new friends as well. We also enjoyed the speaker and music too.
Our girls, as usual, had a great time also. They had lots of fun in the nursery at the church there with all the new-to-them toys. They also had a great time with all their youth helpers. Thanks to Abigail, Joseph and Kaylee for taking such good care of them!

We had a good evening! Thank you to Joey, our Gideon at FMBC, and all the other Gideons and their families who provide such a nice evening for us and all the pastors in our area!

Happy 4th Birthday, Bekah Faith!

This sweet girl is turning 4! It is hard to believe that is possible, but today is the day!
Here she is coming home from the hospital
Here she is at 2 weeks old and the day before the big move for our move to the mountains when she was 4 weeks old.
And time flew by and then she was One!

And just that fast again, she turned 2.

 And then,we had a 3 year old!

Now our girl is turning 4. Here she is headed off to bed for the last time as a 3 year old.
She opened her birthday presents this morning. Here is our big 4 year old!

Bekah, we love you very much!
You are Beautiful
You are Exciting
You are Kind
You are Always Loving
You are Happy!

You have been a sweet spirit since the day you were born and you are a great "Little Big Sister" to your sisters too!
You are beyond precious to us and we are thankful for you!
Happy 4th Birthday, Bekah Faith! We love you!

FMBC Homecoming 2015

Today, we celebrated our Homecoming at FMBC. This is always a special day.
Brent preached a great sermon from Ephesians 1 about God's great love for us and the redemption that is given to us through Jesus.

Following the sermon was a concert from Sunday Drive. They are a Christian group from Knoxville, TN and they did a great job!
Here are Rachel and her daddy listening to the concert.
This little lady had fun in the nursery with her friends and Mrs. Sherry while the service was going on today.
As Homecoming comes up each year, I always notice a little more how each of the girls has grown since the last Homecoming. This is especially true with Bekah this year. She was about 2 months old at our first Homecoming at FMBC in 2011 and she will turn 4 on Thursday as we celebrate this year's Homecoming!

Then it was time to eat and visit!

Bethany is really liking church potlucks already. She ate one whole bowl of macaroni and cheese all by herself and maybe even got to taste a couple of bites of chocolate cake too.

We had several of our church family who were not able to be at Homecoming today because of injury or illness and we missed each one of them! We did get to visit with Mrs. Linda and Mr. Wayne for a little while this afternoon and are continuing to pray for them. We enjoyed the beautiful flowers they sent to decorate the sanctuary table today for Homecoming as well!
We are thankful for another great Homecoming day and the opportunity to have this special day with our church family and friends!

Mimi and Pop's Visit

Earlier in September, Mimi and Pop were coming through from Maryland and stopped by to see us on their way back toward home. They had great timing because it was just before our wedding anniversary so Brent and I got to have a date night for our anniversary and we got to visit with Mimi and Pop as well. I don't think the big girls believed we were actually going on a date just the two of us at first!
Bekah was pretending to be Pop and wearing his shoes. Rachel and Pop were watching football together. They had lots of fun with Mimi and Pop while we were on our date night.
We met up with Mimi and Pop on Friday morning before they had to head back. Brent and Pop got into a intense game of ping pong at the hotel. It was fun to watch! They are both pretty good.
Mimi and the girls enjoyed some more time hanging out.

Mom and I
It was a quick visit, for sure, but we were glad that Mimi and Pop were able to come visit us for a little while. Thanks again for keeping up with all our munchkins so we could have an anniversary date too! We enjoyed our visit and we love you!

New Friends

This past weekend we had a chance to get together with the Beeler family. Brent and Jamie both do photography and have gone out to shoot pictures some, but this was the first time our families had a chance to get together.
The girls loved getting a chance to play with Blake's train table. Jamie built it for Blake and it is really neat! Bethany even managed to reach the top and play a little. Big sister is checking out what she is doing.

We also had supper with them and some great dessert too. Bekah was eating her dessert here with Mrs. Lydia.
Blake did a great job sharing his toys with all the new little people that came to his house. He and Bethany were playing with the Cookie Monster toy here. Cookie eats his cookie and they end up in his backpack. We decided to get a picture of all the kids together (they were all sitting on the couch watching a show) and just as I take the picture, Bethany turns to Blake and sticks the cookie in his mouth instead. It was certainly cute!

Thank you, Beeler family, for opening your home to us! We enjoyed getting to visit with all of you and hopefully, we can get together again before too long.
