October 31st!

This year we have 4 beautiful Cinderellas! They still love dressing up as princesses and still like matching so I am enjoy it while they do. I love these two pictures! The top picture was this evening and the picture below was October 31, 2014, when Bethany was our smallest Cinderella at the time. Wow, pictures like these make me realize how much Allie and Bethany look alike too!
Here is our happy CinderAllie, as her sisters called her, this evening♡
Their dresses were pretty fluffy this year, I must say! Love those little pink tennis shoes peeking out from under that fluffy dress. Can you tell she loved her dress?
We stopped by with all the little Cinderellas to visit Nana and Papa on our way to our first Trunk or Treat. The girls had fun showing Nana and Papa their dresses.
We made two other stops tonight. The church I grew up in, Salemburg Baptist, was having a Trunk or Treat and fall festival. Here is the line of Cinderellas following their Daddy into the Family Life Center.
The big girls favorite Trunk or Treat was the Olaf stop.
Cinderellas also got to see Mrs. Laura as she was refilling all the trunk or treat candy buckets.
Grandpa also knew of a nearby church with a festival tonight and we made it in time for their cakewalk and hayride.
Our little Cinderella seemed to have a fun first October 31st too!
We  had a fun evening with some new fall festivals here in NC. Now to ration out all that candy they got to them a little bit at a time!

A Fun Reunion

We were up in Richmond over the weekend for a photography event and after we finished up later Sunday evening, we were nearby to our friends Alex and Erin's house and we were able to go by to see them. It was Erin's birthday and we didn't know it but all of Erin and Alex ' s families were there to celebrate too. We had a great time being able to catch up with all the Wheelers and the Reids too!
When we first arrived, the power had just gone at Alex and Erin's house due to a storm, so we spent the first hour visiting by flashlight! I wish I had gotten a picture of Addilyn and our girls, but by the time the power came back on she was very sleepy. She's a sweetheart and we loved getting to see her!
We did get to celebrate and have birthday cake with Erin while we were there!
Allie got a chance to meet Katie and Kristie and Jason.
We also enjoyed time with Steve and Sharon.
This was such a good surprise since we didn't know that we were going to get a chance to see them while we were in town too!
Allie was able to meet Mrs. Judy and Mr. Bill too! They kept Rachel when she was little and even while I went to the hospital to have Bekah and Judy and Sharon both would come hold Bekah for me in the afternoons that first month after she was born when her colic was the worst and rock and walk her, so it is neat seeing them now getting to meet Allie.

We had such a good time getting see you all! It was SO good to catch up and visit together again! Thanks so much for having us over, Alex and Erin! We can't wait to see you all again soon!

AWANA Superhero Night

Every Wednesday night at AWANA there is a theme. I misplaced my calendar and so I wasn't sure what this week's theme was going to be until this afternoon. It was Superhero Night because Jesus is our superhero!
So down to the craft tote in the basement we went. Thank goodness for some leftover red foam sheets from a past Valentine's Day and some cardstock! We ended up with some cute Supergirls!
This picture was taken just as Bethany finished yelling "Supergirl"
Here are the big girls together and with some of their AWANA friends!

The smallest Supergirl got to try on her sister's super gear this evening and she was pretty happy about it!
Thankful for our AWANA leaders and friends! We are thankful for Jesus and all our girls are learning  and growing to love Him more through this ministry!

Dance Days with Mrs. Suzi

With our recent move to be closer to Brent's family and his dad now, we were about an hour from the girl's dance studio that they started at here in NC earlier this fall. We tried commuting back and forth for dance since the girls all had dance in one day there, but it was a fairly long trip. A family friend of ours, Mrs. Suzi, has a dance studio here in the town we are living in now and let me know a few days ago that she could get all 3 of our big girls in for dance on Tuesdays. So this past Tuesday, we headed down to The Performing Arts School for their first classes.
Miss Bethany has the first class of our girls on Tuesdays and she is in preschool ballet with Mrs. Suzi as her teacher. She loved her first class and has made a new friend already so I heard!
Bekah has the next class and she tried out an acrobatics and tumbling class. She really liked the class and couldn't wait to show me new things she had learned during her first class! She also has Mrs. Suzi as her teacher.
Our biggest ballerina rounds out our Tuesday ballet schedule with a combination ballet, jazz and tap class. She met several new friends and really liked the jazz steps she learned with Mrs. Suzi in her first class too!
The smallest ballerina, who will be dancing too before we know it, was good moral support and full of smiles for her big sisters as they tried their new dance classes!
Here is Bethany with Mrs. Suzi, the director of the studio and her new teacher! She made a fast friend in Mrs. Suzi on her first day. Her ballet shoe had come untied and she wanted help to fix it. Once Mrs. Suzi helped her fix it, she was thrilled and all smiles again!
Here are all our ballerinas with Mrs. Suzi! It was a very happy day at dance and they are all very excited about their new classes, teacher and studio (and now we only have a 1 mile drive)!
Thanks to Mrs. Suzi for all your help! We are excited for a great year of dance and looking forward to watching them learn and grow in their love of dance this year!

A Waynesboro Weekend

This past weekend brought us to Waynesboro for the Fall Foliage Art Show. Saturday morning found us on the Blue Ridge Parkway for sunrise before the show.
Brent enjoyed meeting up with fellow photographer and friend Jamie to shoot the sunrise.
This little lady enjoyed her first fall sunrise on the BRP while her big sisters were spending the day with friends!
We had a good show and for the first time in 4 years, we had sunshine both Saturday and Sunday instead of rain!
Thank you Alyssa, Kevin and Little One for making the drive to come to see us! We are thankful for you all and enjoyed our time with you all!
Charlie and Family, the wagon girls had a great time catching up with you all as well!
The big girls had a great day Saturday with the Doreys also. They took them to the Mountain Farm Day and the pumpkin patch while we were at the show.  They even let them paint pumpkins  (yes, that is Ariel on Rachel's pumpkin and the stem is even the crown) and had a campfire for them that evening.
We didn't get very long to visit with the show keeping us busy  but we did get a little time to visit with the Doreys late Saturday evening. Thanks so much Tom and Debbie for your hospitality and for loving on the girls and us
Sunday evening brought the end of the show and a quick trip up 340 to Grottoes as Brent was preaching the evening service at First Baptist Grottoes. He did the great job in teaching on the Reformation and the importance of only trusting Jesus, and nothing else, for our salvation.
Thanks to Pastor Mark for inviting Brent to preach the Sunday evening service. It was so good to be back with our FBC Grottoes church family!
While their Daddy preached, these girls were definitely glad to be back at AWANA at Grottoes!
Bethany was very glad to see her AWANA leaders there including Mrs. Valorie and Mrs. Melanie.
Allie got a chance to spend little more time with and meet more of the church family too. Here is our happy girl with Mrs. Connie.

The last day of our trip sent us north to Shenandoah for a business trip. We did make an educational stop at the Green Valley Book Fair for the girls. It was time for a few more early readers for Bekah and chapter books for Rachel. I am so glad that they all love books and reading!

We were able to get all the fall canvases added at Shenandoah while we were there.
This picture was from a few weeks ago in Shenandoah but I couldn't resist posting it too. She was a happy girl to be in Shenandoah!
It was a breezy day and definitely felt like fall had arrived in Shenandoah but these girls were all smiles to be back in the Park for a little while!
It was a fun and very busy fall weekend for sure!
