Bethany's 3rd Birthday Party!

Since we were in Virginia for the wedding on Bethany's actual birthday, we decided to have her birthday party down in NC with our family the following weekend.

She requested a turtle party this year. Yes, one of her favorite things right now are turtles...land turtles, sea turtles, Franklin the Turtle...all turtles. We even painted turtle sun catchers.

Thank you to all the family that came to help us celebrate our little 3 year old terrific turtle!

Can't believe our JoyBug is 3 already!

We had a turtle pinata. I finally found one of those in Virginia while we were traveling. This was the first year Bethany was old enough to try the pinata and she was so much fun to watch.

She loved all her gifts. Thank you to everyone!

Aunt Brittany even got her a turtle shirt with her initials!

We had a turtle cake and Grandpa even carved her a watermelon turtle!

We had a fun day celebrating this big girl!

Happy 3 Months, Allie Grace!

Allie is now 3 months old. The days are flying by! Can't believe we are a quarter of the way through her first year! 

 She is smiling a lot now. I love to watch her smile. Her whole face lights up when she smiles♡♡

She is getting so much bigger. She loves watching her big sisters and smiling at them too.
Happy 3 Months, Allie! We smile just being with you!

Two Flower Girls and a Junior Bridesmaid: Kay Kay and Mr. Jonathan ' s Wedding

On Friday, July 7th, we were able to be a part of one of our favorite days this summer! It was time for Kay Kay and Mr. Jonathan ' s wedding!!

These were two incredibly excited flower girls and a super excited junior bridesmaid!

The dresses Kay Kay picked out for them were just beautiful and it was hard to believe how grown up each of them looked♡

What a fun to spend the day after you turn 3 being a flower girl for the first time! Bethany was originally going to be the sign carrier, but in rehearsal, we quickly realized that the sign was a little heavy for her. So her big sister stepped in to carry the sign. Oh, I love the sign...Kaitlin has been Kay Kay to our girls since Bekah was old enough to make sounds and Kay Kay she may always remain! Our girls have always called Jonathan "Mr. Jonathan" since they first met him. I thought it worked out well that Bekah, who began the name Kay Kay, was the one to carry Kay Kay's sign for her wedding.

It was a beautiful day for a wedding! 

The new Mr. and Mrs. Adams♡

I love going to weddings with my love! It always brings back sweet memories of our wedding too♡

Thankful for exactly how old these girls are now, but seeing them walking down the aisle ahead of Kay Kay reminded me that we have 4 beauties to one day walk down the aisle too! I am certainly not rushing that time, but I suspect that the years then will seem to fly by!

This little lady has now been to her first wedding and what a special day it was!

She enjoyed some time with Mrs. Debbie too!

It was a beautiful wedding and day in every way! Thank you, Kay Kay and Jonathan for the blessing of being a part of your special day! We love you all!

This little miracle is now 3!

Though we weren't at home because we have a wedding to be a part of, we started her day with our tradition of streamers over the bed when she woke up! Special thanks to her Daddy who went the extra mile to get streamers and balloons when Mom forgot them at home! Then since streamers across the hotel bed weren't fun enough, her big sisters helped her have a headband, scarf, and bracelets out of the streamers as well! This is one of my favorite pictures of her all day because she was just so happy♡

 Just after noon, we headed to meet Kay Kay, for her wedding rehearsal, because really, how special and fun

is it to get ready to be a flower girl for the first time on your 3rd birthday! Here are all the big girls with Kay Kay and Bethany and Bekah getting ready to practice walking down the aisle!

After the wedding rehearsal, we headed to eat together for the rehearsal meal. Look at those happy, excited bride and flower girl smiles!

We finished her birthday with "blah-illa" (her version of the word, vanilla, and her very favorite, ice cream at her request.

Here she is with her new baby doll. She is all about all things baby and baby dolls right now, which is working out very well with her having a new little sister right now!

Happy Happy Birthday, our sweet Bethany JoyBug!  We look at you so full of joy and smiling that contagious, beautiful smile and we can't help but smile too! We thank Jesus every day that He gave us a miracle in you and gave you to our family! We Love You♡

Happy Half-Birthday, Rachel!

We do celebrations around our house! Big and small events, we celebrate them all! So when half birthdays roll around, we remember and celebrate those too. Because as Rachel told me on the day she turned 8.5 years old, "This is great, Mom! Now I don't have to be just plain 8 anymore. Now I can say I am 8 and a half"
 Can't argue with that logic! Well, I remember...    I even remember saying I was 9 and 3/4 because I couldn't wait to turn 10! But all I could think in that moment now that I am the Mom myself was "But wait, in 6 months you will be 9 and my firstborn will be entering the last year of single digits in her life!! How is that possible?!"
Our girl wants to grow bigger and time to move a little faster and her mom wants time to slow down a bit because she is growing so fast already! Then I feel the Lord remind me that He makes each day and sends every event at exactly the time she (and I) need it and every speck of time is firmly and continually in His control!
So, Happy 8.5, Rachel B! We are thankful for each one of those days with you♡
