Fall Festivities 2015!

The girls had been looking forward to all the fun fall activities of the past couple of days! Yesterday, we headed to downtown Lexington for lots of candy and fun! We started doing this the second year we moved here (we moved the last weekend in October the first year and were surrounded by moving boxes) and it has quickly become tradition for the girls.
This year,we had 3 Little Ariels from the Little Mermaid. Ariel has long been a favorite of Rachel's and last year they were Cinderella, who was Bekah's favorite then. Though I think both the big girls are switching up on me as I was told this week that Belle is now the favorite of the both!
Here we are headed to downtown.
First stop on Main Street was the Nationwide office to meet up with Kay Kay and let Mrs. Debbie see the girls dressed up. Kaitlin and I had planned earlier in the week that we would meet there so she could go with the girls around downtown too. The girls were thrilled!

Then we headed the rest of the way down Main Street where we saw some friends, met a giant duck and got lots of candy along the way!

Thanks Kay Kay for coming with us! We had a blast!
After eating supper at home, we headed just down the road to try something new. Just a few miles from our house is Clark's Ole Time Music Center. We had never been before and decided to try it out. The girls had such fun listening and dancing along to the music.

There were even some of the other couples there who took the big girls around and showed them some of the dance steps.
Here is the smallest mermaid with her little fin.

It was a really fun time and I am sure we will go back again sometime! This evening we headed to one of the local churches Trunk or Treats. We usually go here every year as well. It is hard to see from the picture here but the girls are actually looking at a little puppy who had fallen asleep in his owner's football helmet. He was so tiny that he fit right inside!

This was a happy Little Mermaid!

It has been a fun weekend of Fall Festivities this year!

Bekah's 4th Birthday Party

On Sunday, we finally got to have Bekah's 4th birthday party. Her birthday is in late September, so we originally planned her birthday party for the first Sunday in October at Boxerwood...yes, right when we got the giant low pressure system where it rained for days on end. So we rescheduled to this weekend.
I have to admit I was pretty concerned when I was watching the weather all last week what Sunday was going to be like, especially when I checked Saturday night and saw a high of 53 with up to 15 mile an hour winds. But we prayed and waited and God provided an absolutely beautiful afternoon for her birthday party!
We started out with pizza and cake, both of which disappeared very, very quickly!

Bekah got to open her presents next and she has had fun playing with some of her new gifts already! Thank you to everyone!
Finally, before we headed into the Kids Garden area, we did the pinata too!

Look very closely at the top of this picture. Yes, that is all the candy flying out of the pinata!

And there are all of the kids scooping up all the candy!

For the rest of the time in the Kids Garden, the kids climbed, dug, made mud pies, and just ran around having fun!

Happy 4th Birthday, Rebekah Faith! We are so glad you finally were able to have your birthday party and so thankful for everyone who was able to come celebrate with us! We thank God for you, Bekah, and we thank God for the plans He has for your life too!

15 Months!

15 Months Old, October 6, 2015
Happy 15 Months, Bethany Joy!
This little lady turned 15 months old on Monday. She is growing up so quickly!

She started using the sign language symbol for "More" last week and "Thank you" this week. We teach all the girls some simple signs like "eat," "drink," "please," "thank you" and "more" before they can talk very much to make it easier for them to communicate what they need.
She is saying a few words like Mama, Dada, baby, pup pup and cat cat.
Because she has two big sisters who love art, she loves to color already. Sometimes, I see her use her left hand to color (her left-handed mommy wonders if this will continue...)
Sometimes, I see her use her right hand, and
sometimes, I see her use both hands at the same time to color!

She wants to be a big girl like her big sisters already. Whatever they do, she wants to do too!

She is a good eater and loving learning to use her spoon!

Can you tell spaghetti is her favorite food? This is just like her Daddy who loves spaghetti and lasagna.
She is pulling up and standing all the time. She will take steps with help and has stood on her own for a few seconds two or three times. She will be walking before too long. I think she can still crawl faster than walk wherever she wants to go and besides, when you have two big sisters who hand you whatever you need, that makes things easy for you!

We love you, little Joy Bug! We thank God for you and the little lady you are becoming already!
