It is...SOLD!!!

Hello September! It is such a blessing to know we walk into September without making a double mortgage payment! Yes, our house in Colonial Heights sold as of yesterday afternoon! The buyers signed and we received word that we had closed about 3:30 pm yesterday! Praise Jesus! That "For Sale" sign is done!

We got a call middle of last week that our buyers wanted to close before the initial closing date of September 10. We were thankful and this worked out well because we had some items we still needed to get out of the attic and we were meeting Nana to pick up the girls in Colonial Heights on Friday.
Notice the table in this room. God used it to remind me that He is always faithful and He always provides, even when the situation seems hard or to take so long. We tried to sell our house when we first moved here to the mountains and the market was still so rocky that we couldn't sell it at the time. God provided us renters for the home and a way to buy our house here that was only by His grace and provision. Our renters stayed in the house over 3 years and when they moved out in May, God again provided what we needed financially and the people to get the house ready to sell. While, it took literally everything we had to get this house sold, we are so thankful that God provided buyers for it to be sold and complete! Back to the table in the picture...when we bought our home in 2006, we used the same group to close on buying the house as we used in 2015 to sell the house. This room with this same table is where we sat in March of 2006 to purchase the house as where we sat in August of 2015 to sell the house. God is Faithful!
The big girls and Nana met us at the house for one last walk through before we finished. Since she was the first-born in this house, Rachel got the job of closing the door for the last time here!
We bought the house as a family of 2 and sold the house as a family of 5! Here is our last family picture on Spring Valley Road!
Here are our 3 little blessings that God has given us since that time!
While we are so thankful that this house has sold, it was with a few tears that I write all this. This house holds some wonderful memories for us as the first house we ever owned. We brought two precious babies home from the hospital here. We had some wonderful times with great family and friends here. Now we are thankful that the Lord has provided for another family to begin to make great memories here!
Pulling out of the driveway for the last time! God is Faithful and we are thankful!
