Green Eggs and Lambs

The Saturday right before Easter, we headed out for a day of Easter egg fun. Our friends, Matt and Molly, were having an egg hunt at their church, Vesuvius Baptist. The girls were having so much fun with all the activities leading up to Easter that we decided one more egg hunt would be fun. They found green eggs, orange eggs, even football and basketball eggs.
They enjoyed getting their faces painted. Rebekah even sat still long enough to get a recognizable butterfly on her cheek.

They also had a great time in the inflatable and listening to Pastor Matt share the Easter story.
After all the outdoor activities, we enjoyed lunch there too. By this time, Hannah woke up from her nap. Bekah was glad to see her. She even tried to share her eggs...by feeding one to Hannah!

Shh...don't tell my sister I have all the goodies!

Molly had heard that the local fire department close to them in Raphine was having an egg hunt that afternoon was well. We decided, sure, we can go to one egg hunt in the morning and one in the afternoon too. By the time we got there, though, the egg hunt was already finished but they still had games for the kids. They also had some of the best BBQ chicken I have ever tasted. We set up there and had a picnic with Matt, Molly and Hannah and Molly's parents who were visiting too.

The other fun thing they had there was two baby lambs.  They were about 2 weeks old and someone had brought them from a local farm. Rebekah was totally not interested the first time I took the girls over to see the lambs so I brought her back over to where we were picnicking. As soon as we got back over there, she turned around and headed back toward the lambs herself. So it went for the rest of the afternoon. Almost as soon as we would sit her down, she would head back over there.
