FaithBASE

On Friday, March 22, we hosted FaithBASE at our house. FaithBASE is our small group ministry for church that meets once a month in a members home. This month was our turn. First to arrive were Rosemary and Tamara with Baby Jason. We were thrilled to get to meet Baby Jason. The first time he was able to come to church after he was born, the girls and I were home because one of them was sick. So we were glad to be well and healthy and able to meet him. I like this picture because the girls were wanted to be right beside Baby Jason. Of course, everyone else who came wanted to get a turn to hold him too.
Brent grilled hamburgers and hotdogs for us and everyone else brought sides. We had a great meal and then praise and worship with prayer time.

We pulled out the girls' Boppy seat and swing for Baby Jason to try, but it turns out, he was most content held by his mom or grandma. Bekah, on the other hand, was all into what she seemed to think were "new" toys.
We got a surprise while everyone was here for FaithBASE. Well, everyone but Brent, was surprised. He had ordered a large (3 x 4 foot) image he had taken of a sunset at Faith Mountain, our church, to place in the church foyer. It looked awesome! He had it printed on canvas and the clouds actually looked like they had texture in them in the picture.

We are thankful for our church family and how they have adopted our family like their own.

After our time of fellowship, we enjoyed dessert. We had hoped by hosting FaithBASE in the spring it would be warm enough for everyone to enjoy a campfire. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite warm enough yet so Brent grilled our marshmallows on the grill!

Baby Jason enjoyed a teeny taste of marshmallow which he seemed to like. Rebekah had her first whole marshmallow on her own. She certainly made the most of it. Yes, she did get a bath shortly after this...
After bath time, we had one more event before bed for Bekah. She was around 6 months old last year at our egg hunt and she slept through almost the entire time. So this year, we took a little time to practice how to find eggs since our egg hunt at church would be the next day! She got the hang of it very quickly and she did stop and check a few times to see if there was anything in those eggs!
