Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We rounded out our NC family Christmas trip with time with Brent's family. It worked out again this year to celebrate Christmas with them on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. So Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
McGuirt Family Christmas and New Year, New Year's Day 2016

We were the first to arrive at Nana and Papa's on New Year's Eve followed about 10 minutes later by Jared, Brooke and Inman and just after that by Jason, Brittany and Saylor. Here are all the cousins welcoming Saylor.
Here are the James's: James Lee, Inman James, and Brenten James
Uncle Brent made sure to get some hugs from Saylor too.
So I am getting the two smaller girls down for naps (not an easy task as excited as they were...but it did happen) and suddenly notice most of the guys are missing. Then I hear somebody say "They have the kayak out on the pond" Out with the camera I went! Sure enough, Jared had brought his kayak for duck hunting and they were taking a lap or two around the pond in the back yard. First time I have ever seen a boat on that pound, four sure! Rachel was definitely in the right place at the right time-while her sisters napped, she got to ride on a kayak!

Later in the evening, we had some Nativity time. The big girls love Nana's nativity. It is not breakable and has all kinds of parts and people for the Nativity story. They spend much time here each year.
Jared and Jason cooking the famous McGuirt Christmas Lasagna. It was good too!
 Bethany loved her uncle's lasagna

Here are all the McGuirt men with the newest little ones: Inman, Saylor and Bethany.

Rachel loved her new Minnie PJs from Nana. All the girls got new ballerina dance bags from Aunt Brittany.
Inman did a great job helping his mommy open presents this year and Saylor hung out and watched everything with her daddy.
Our almost 7 year old present!

After our Christmas celebration, we moved right into New Years!
Happy New Year 2016!
All our family made it till midnight and the big girls rang in the New Year with spoons as cymbals!
Happy 2016 to all, says Bethany

New Year's Day, we had more family time. Bethany was the cutest with her new cousins. All she wanted to do was be close to them and even hug them. I was amazed at how gentle she was to be so small herself. She would gently reach over and rub their arm or foot or lean over to hug them over and over. She loves her cousins a lot! Looking forward to seeing these 3 grow up together and be good friends too! They are all going to have a blast together in a couple of years when they all are mobile and only about a year apart in age (and keep their mommies busy too)!
The big girls loved their cousin time too. Thankful for all the fun memories these sweet cousins have together ahead!

All the grandkids with Nana and Papa!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year's from Nana and Papa's house! We love you all!
