Today, Brent celebrated his 34th birthday! We started celebrating him yesterday with his favorite meal for supper because I knew today would be busy with his birthday being on a Sunday. Here he is with his birthday lasagna.
The big girls were in charge of helping make their daddy's favorite dessert, banana pudding, this year. Rachel cut the bananas with a butter knife and layered them in the dish, Bekah put in all the vanilla wafers and I was in charge of adding the pudding and whipped cream. They loved helping make this for Brent.
Today brought us to Brent's birthday. Here he is preaching the morning message today from Ephesians 2:8-10. He taught about God's grace and what a gift our salvation is from God.
We headed out for a family lunch after church. This evening, we were blessed to actually get to go on a date and see a movie he had been wanting to see. Our friend, Joy, from church had been asking about keeping the girls for us sometime and we were able to work it out so she kept them tonight for us to see the movie. It was great to be able to have a date on Brent's birthday!
Brent, I thank God for you every day! I am so glad I married you! You are a great husband and the best dad to our girls! We are all so blessed to have you to lead our family and are so thankful God gave us you! We hope you had a great birthday! We are thankful for a day to celebrate you and we are thankful for you every day! We love you!
