On the Road Again..

On the road again...to North Carolina!
Last week we traveled down to North Carolina for a few days. We headed over the mountain and made our first stop in Greensboro. My sister goes to school there and we go right through on our way to eastern NC so we stopped by for a visit with Aunt Ashelyn. Doesn't Bethany look excited for a visit?! I think she was a little excited about her new Minnie shoes also. Mimi sent an Easter box that got to us just as we were headed on our trip and her Minnie shoes were in the box. She looked at us really funny when we first put them on her feet, like "what are those?" but then she started grinning when her Daddy stood her up with them on.  The big girls couldn't wait to get out of the car and to Aunt Ashelyn as you can tell by Bekah's happy jump here!
Here are the 3 "Super Sisters" with my Super Sister (and their awesome aunt!)
Aunt Ashelyn had a giant box of crayons that they had a blast with while we were at her apartment and both drew her artwork for her fridge.
She also took us to a yummy new place, called Tex and Shirley's for supper. The girls and I shared terrific omelet and waffles.
We had a great visit with you, Aunt Ashelyn. Thanks for working out your schedule to spend time with us!
On Friday, Aunt Brittany had the day off and met us in Wilmington for the day. We had lunch with her in Wilmington and then she treated the girls and I to pottery painting in the afternoon.
The girls had the best time picking out what to paint (a duck and a crab) and picking out paint colors with Aunt Brittany. They painted and repainted and added some more paint...
They are so excited to see the finished creations. We had to leave them there to be glazed and fired and the family are bringing them up to us when they come for the girls' recital in a few weeks.
The pottery place we painted at also gives free tiles to any little ones under a year old to put their little footprints on, so Miss Bethany got to do a pottery piece as well. She will have her little footprints on a tile in the shape of a butterfly. She was trying to decide what she thought of having her feet painted!

Here are the crab and the duck after their many coats of paint
Bethany finally fell asleep during all the painting fun. We had so much fun doing this. Thank you, Aunt Brittany for coming to spend the day with us and for taking us to paint pottery too.
We were down in Wilmington on Saturday and Nana and Papa came to visit us while we were there. We also got to see our friends, the Blevins, for a little while we were down. Thanks, Mark, Anna, and family for coming to see us!
I only got a few pictures over these couple of days because my camera lens broke! Papa, Brent's Dad, took some cell phone pictures for me too and his phone broke! So these are the few pictures that made it!
Saturday evening Uncle Jason and Aunt Brittany came to meet us too. We all had some great pizza and enjoyed some family time together. We missed Uncle Jared and Aunt Brooke as they were out of town but we are looking forward to seeing them at the girls' recital soon!
It was great to have some family time in NC and lots more family to see during the rest of our time down in North Carolina!
