New Notes

 New piano notes, that is...
A few weeks ago, we got an email from our very kind neighbors, The Lawhornes, letting us know that they were getting rid of their piano and asking if we would like to have it.  We, of course, said yes, we would like to have the piano for our girls. We had been talking about how it was time to get the girls started on playing an instrument over the past few months and we had talked about piano lessons so this was a Huge blessing!
We were out of town last week so we made a plan to move the piano this afternoon. We asked a few of our youth and college guys if they could help Brent and Jeff move the piano today and fed them lunch as a thank you for their help. Thanks Grayson, Josh and Lewis for giving of your time this afternoon to help us move the piano!
Here is Rachel beside the piano as they were getting it covered on the trailer before moving it to our house. We almost got it moved before the rain but not quite so they covered it very well!

Pam and the girls and I visited while the guys brought the piano up to our house. We enjoyed our visit a lot.
Jeff and Brent came back over after getting the piano in place over at our house and we visited with the Lawhornes for a little while longer until Bethany and Bekah needed their nap. The Lawhornes also have a sweet little dog named Lilly. The big girls just loved her and wanted to pet her and give her her toys. Bethany was completely fascinated with Lilly too. I have been holding her hand up and teaching her how to wave. Today while she was watching Lilly, she began waving for the first time on her own at Lilly! It was so cute!

After we headed home and before nap, of course, the big girls had to try out the piano. They wanted to play a duet according to them. Bethany seem excited that they were so excited and already seems to enjoy listening to them play. Here she is watching her sisters play.

After "playing" a duet for awhile, they would take turns playing and the other sister would dance while the one sister was playing her a song!
We are looking forward to many hours of piano playing already and eventually actual duets together as the girls learned to really play the piano. Thank you, Lawhorne family, for blessing our family with this gift! We are so thankful and our girls are being blessed by your generosity already!
