One of the major missions projects in the fall at our church, Faith Mountain Baptist, is filling shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. I imagine most of probably heard of it, but if not, it is a great ministry. The goal is to fill and send shoe boxes through the ministry of Samaritan's Purse overseas to children who otherwise might not receive a Christmas gift of their own.
Though the time to turn in the boxes for shipping is not until mid-November, the leaders of our children's ministry had the great idea to go ahead and have a kickoff event for this project. This event was held on Sunday evening for our elementary age kids but the leaders kindly included our Pre-K age as well. So, this was Rachel's first time being a part of this event.

Thank you to our children's ministry leaders who organized and ran this great event. We enjoyed it and we look forward to next year!
