A Trip to the Library

Brent had a meeting of the Rockbridge Camera Club last night, and you guessed it, the meeting was at the Rockbridge Library. When he took part in the Rockbridge Community Festival with his photographs, a member of the Rockbridge Camera Club stopped by his booth to invite him to their meeting. The girls and I were already in Lexington because Tuesdays are ballet days so we decided to go along for the meeting. We headed to one of the restaurants just a couple blocks from the library so we could eat supper as a family after Brent got off work and before the meeting started. It also worked out great because Tuesdays were Free kids meal night. Then we headed down to the library. We started out in the meeting because I hoped to attend as well. Because I had a small set of blocks I took in with us, the girls lasted almost 40 mins in the meeting before we needed to go out. Thankfully, yesterday evening was a night that the library is open until 9 pm, so we just headed across the hall into the library.

This was our first library trip here in Lexington. We all enjoyed it very much. They have a good kids section, several places to sit and read together, coloring spaces, magnets and games. I am sure they offer other activities too, however this is how the girls and I spent the hour we were there.

Reading together

Pulling up on the library carts

"Taste and see that the Lord is good!" Psalm 34:8

I wonder what is in here?

What a great trip to the library!
We enjoyed our trip to the library and I am sure we will return soon!
