February Fun

February started with a trip to pick up Brent's new glasses. He started getting a headache every time he wore his old ones, so it was definitely time for a new prescription. Rachel and Rebekah decided they wanted to see what they would look like with glasses too.

After we picked up the glasses, we headed to Charlottesville to visit one of our members, Mrs. Nancy. We enjoyed a great visit with her and were glad to see her doing so well.

After we finished our visit, we made a quick stop at the mall carousel which is one of our girls' absolute favorite things to do.
Later in the weekend, we attended the Super Bowl Party that the Powells' hosted for our church family.We enjoyed good food and fun.

Up until this point, we had been going through the winter without any major sickness, praise the Lord! However, not so much for the next 2 weeks. Rachel managed to get the stomach bug TWICE in less than a week and Rebekah then followed by getting the respiratory crud. She then shared it with me. I even had to miss a day of work I was so sick. In the meantime, Brent took good care of us all while doing his best to keep a safe distance from us! He also painted our bathroom. We had been talking about changing it for awhile and he did a great job. Keep in mind he taped off and painted all those stripes himself.

Project complete

This was our first time venturing out in 4 days, other than Bekah and I going to the doctor, and we made it as far as the back walkway. It was close to 60 degrees that day and the girls were just happy to be outside for a few minutes

We were glad to be feeling at least a little better and looking forward to enjoying the rest of February.
