On The Market

Our home in Colonial Heights is officially on the market! After 5 to 6 of some of the crazy busiest weeks I have ever lived through, it is finally on the market! After much much hard work, inside and out, it looks great and we are praying hard for the family that God has for this house.
After new paint throughout the house and newly refinished hardwood floors downstairs

and new carpet throughout the upstairs.

Newly redone stairs
Removing the stair carpet
Completely finished stairs
 New backsplash in the kitchen

and completely new vinyl exterior
Near the beginning of the project
Completed vinyl front and porch!

Hanging the final piece of siding on this side of the house

Thank you to Skipper, Donald and Carlton for all your hard work over the past few weeks!
These girls have been troopers! The big girls have played and beaded and had play doh fun and helped too while their Mom and Dad worked and worked.

and the little one smiled, and looked cute and napped and played in her pack n play.

We are so thankful to have this house on the market but we still very much appreciate your prayers as we are waiting for the house to be shown and hopefully, to sell soon! Also, if you wouldn't mind sharing the MLS listing,we would so appreciate it. Though you may not know of anyone in the Richmond area, a friend of a friend might! Thanks so much for sharing and thank you to all of you who have prayed for us, helped with the house and encouraged us along the way-we appreciate it all!

Moo Day Tuesday

On Tuesday, we went to our first ever "Cow Appreciation Day" at Chick-Fil-A. We all like their food and free Chick-Fil-A is a good thing! We have been beyond busy this week with trying to get our house in Colonial Heights on the market and our Vacation Bible School at FMBC this week, so our costumes were definitely not complicated this year! I let the big girls decorate their own masks. Yes, those are definitely cake plates from their little sister's first birthday party! They also definitely did a cute job decorating them and yes, Rachel's cow had a mustache!

We also all had white t-shirts that we decorated, however, I wanted the girls to be able to use their white t-shirts again so I didn't want to permanently attach anything to their shirts. Yay, for double sided tape when it works. Yes, we were sticking the felt spots back on our t-shirts as we walked in the door at Chick-Fil-A
This little lady was thrilled to try her first ChickFfil-A. Look at that happy face!
Bethany was not a fan of her cow mask but the big girls had fun with theirs.
Of course, we had to get a picture with the Chick-Fil-A cow too! I hope we get a chance to do this again, because it was a lot of fun. As Brent says, the "things we do for a free meal"!!

Flower Girls

This past weekend we had a wonderful time celebrating the wedding of Alyssa and Kevin! Alyssa was one of our youth at Swift Creek and we were blessed to have her in youth group throughout her middle school and high school years. So when she asked if the big girls would be her flower girls in her wedding, of course, they were thrilled! They had been counting down the days till this wedding!
The fun started on Friday afternoon with the bridal luncheon. We had a great time visiting with the bride, bridesmaids, and friends there.
At the bridal luncheon, Alyssa gave the girls pearl bracelets for them to wear with their dresses and these precious little tanks monogrammed with their initials.
After the luncheon, we headed on to the church for the rehearsal. Here is the littlest one with the lovely bride.
Here are the big girls waiting for their part at the rehearsal

and practicing their parts.

After the rehearsal, we headed to the rehearsal dinner. Bethany loved the tomatoes and cucumbers in the salad and Mommy's chicken too.

It was a delicious supper and a fun time visiting with Alyssa and Kevin's families. Rachel, Bekah and Analeigh all had lots of fun playing together too.
Here were the girls' sweet basket and sign. Rachel tossed the petals from the basket and Bekah carried the sign.
Here are the lovely flower girls with their sponge rollers before we did their hair. Lb helped me get all their curlers out to get them ready.

While the bridesmaids and flower girls were getting ready, the groom and groomsmen had a little time for Frisbee and baseball.
The girls looked so beautiful that I had to get a few pictures of them together to remember the day.
They got a little extra practice time in to make sure they were ready to walk down the aisle.

Here are the big girls with their "Issa." Rachel couldn't say Alyssa when she was a baby so Alyssa became Issa to Rachel. Both girls still call her Issa at times now.

Bethany even got her picture with the beautiful bride!

And finally, it was Wedding time!!!
You can't see it in the pictures above, but each girl had a tiny piece of tape to stand on. I told Bekah to "glue" her feet to the tape. Three or four times during the wedding, she would push her dress back so she could see her feet and move her feet to make sure she was standing right on the middle of the tape! Both girls did so well standing there throughout the ceremony!

We all had a great time at the reception too. It was held at the Ward Center in Petersburg and it was such a neat spot. These girls thoroughly enjoy catching up with and playing with their friends from Colonial Heights. We also enjoyed visiting with old and new friends especially lots of youth and church family from Swift Creek.

The big girls also got to be announced with the wedding party and come in with them. Here they are watching the bride and groom's first dance.
Brent also prayed for the bride and groom at the reception as well.
Here I am with my handsome groom! Can't believe we have been married almost 11 years already!!
