Several weeks ago, Brent got a message that Swift Creek Baptist, where we first served in ministry in Virginia, was celebrating its 40th Anniversary and Homecoming on this last Sunday in March. On this Anniversary Sunday, SCBC was having both an 11 am and a 2 pm service with lunch in between and Pastor Steve invited Brent to preach the afternoon service. We were serving at Swift Creek during 30th anniversary, we were invited back for the 35th anniversary and now, we were honored to be back to be a part of the 40th Anniversary celebration!
It was a blessing to see and hear Pastor Ron speak in the morning service
The music by the praise team, Timmy and the choir was so beautiful in all the services.
We enjoyed hearing Pastor Steve preach in the morning service!
After the morning service, we had lunch in the Family Life Center.
Allie loved her first trip to SCBC. Martha has loved on each of our girls while we served there and even now as we come back to visit!
I didn't get a picture before the cake was cut but it was pretty awesome to see and celebrate!
It was good to see Pastor Steve and Brent back together again.
We filled almost a whole pew of girls and friends for the 2 pm service!
Brent did a wonderful job preaching in the afternoon service!
The girls loved seeing old friends and making new friends today!
It was so good to catch up with a lot of our youth from our time at SCBC! They will still be our youth to us even when they get married and start having little ones of their own!
I could have taken pictures all day and not gotten a picture of everyone at SCBC who is special to us. I just needed a big group picture!
We even had chance to have supper and visit a little longer before we headed out of Colonial Heights.
What a blessed and encouraging day to be back at Swift Creek Baptist Church! We so enjoyed being back and visiting with everyone!
There were just two of us in our family when ww began at Swift Creek in 2005. We had two of our babies while we served at Swift Creek and both of their first Sundays in church were at Swift Creek. Now we come back to visit Swift Creek with all 4 of our girls, and they love to visit as much as we do! Thank you Swift Creek Family for such a wonderful day! We are thankful to be in God's family together with you all!
