Prayers for Mimi

 As I had mentioned in an earlier post, my Mom (Mimi to the girls) Paul and and my sister Ashelyn have not been able to come visit yet due to surgery my Mom had earlier in July. Mom had parathyroid surgery in early July in Florida. She has dealt with some complications including a narrowed airway since that time and has been in the hospital in Florida for a little over a month. Thank you to each of you who has been praying for her!

 Mom has agreed that I may share a little more of what has been going on and asked for your continued prayers especially this week and in the weeks ahead. Due to her narrowed airway and unless any changes occur, Mom will have a tracheotomy tomorrow. This will protect her airway and also allow her to begin to travel back to NC from Florida after a 2 week recovery.

 Please pray for protection and peace as she has the surgery tomorrow. Please pray for the healthcare team that will be working on her for the procedure and with her afterwards as well. Please pray for a safe recovery and she and Paul as she is in the hospital after the tracheotomy for 2 weeks and then as they begin to travel back to NC. Please pray for her overall continued recovery as she returns to NC and has treatment and recovers there.

 I know she would tell you to pray most of all for God's will to be done and Him to be glorified in this. I know because she has shared this with me.It has been a blessing to watch my Mom trust Jesus in all of this, even though it has been so very hard for her to be so far away as all this has been going on. It is the biggest blessing to know that my Mom loves Jesus and even more, that He loves her and is taking care of her each day during this time and always!

As you remember this week, please pray for my Mom. I am praying Ephesians 3:20-21 for her during this time.
"For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 
 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen."
